Project Description
The goal of this project is to provide autism support, advocacy in schools, parent training/education, and resources for the North Texas minority community. This will be accomplished through offering services that are concentrated on serving those less fortunate and addressing the greatest needs of their caregivers. The project plans on working one-on-one with families to help them learn how to plan and coordinated services for their child with autism and other disabilities. Project staff will work to encourage autism awareness to reduce the disparity in the age of diagnosis and access to autism services for minorities in North Texas.

State Plan FY17-21 – Goal 1
Create and support promising practices that enable people with developmental disabilities to be fully included in their communities and to have control over their own lives by September 30, 2021.
