    Churches and other faith-based organizations want to welcome everyone, but many do not know how to reach out and create comfortable environments for people with disabilities. The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities has approved funding for four projects focusing on developing inclusive faith-based communities.

  • Senator Nelson Announces Grant to The Arc of Greater Tarrant County

    Senator Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound) announced that the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities awarded $75,000 for the first year of a project by The Arc of Greater Tarrant County. This project will increase the inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within faith communities of their choice in Tarrant County.

  • Senator Fraser Announces Inclusive, Interfaith Project

    Senator Troy Fraser announced that the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities awarded $74,894 to the West Central Texas Regional Foundation. The grant proceeds will be used for a project to more fully include people with disabilities in faith-based communities in Callahan, Jones and Taylor Counties.
